Rochester Fringe 2018 Lineup Unveiled

The seventh year of the KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet. This year the events span 11 days starting Wednesday, Sept. 12. Now the largest multi-genre festival in New York State, Rochester Fringe offers more than 500 performances across dozens of venues throughout the city of Rochester. The main attraction is the outdoor spectacle on Sept. 14 and 15, featuring the United States debut of Massaoke.

Rochester Fringe features music, art, theater, comedy, and dance. More than 150 of the offerings are free of charge, thanks to this year’s sponsors. The Rochester Fringe website allows users to filter events by type, date, and/or venue.

Among the exciting offerings are a live performance of Dave Chisholm’s “Instrumental” soundtrack featuring a backdrop of visuals from the graphic novel, the ArtAwake show in the Changing Scenes restaurant, comedian Eddie Izzard’s Believe Me act, Spooky Stories In The Stacks at the haunted Rundell Library, and the third annual Fringe Street Beat hip-hop dance-off. Returning favorites include Cirque du Fringe, Silent Disco, Pedestrian Drive-In, and Immersive Igloo.
