Toto Announces 40th Anniverary North American Run

Celebrating their 40th anniversary, Toto has announced several North American stops for their upcoming “40 Trips Around the Sun” tour, titled after the band’s current greatest hits release.

The 40 year anniversary will kickoff on July 30, in Vancouver, and make one stop in New York on Nov. 16, at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville.

Formed in 1976, Toto was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame in 2009. The band has sold over 40 million albums worldwide, and won six Grammy awards including Record of the Year, and Best Vocal Arrangement for Two or More Voices, for the song “Rosanna,” in 1983.

Weezer recently covered the band’s iconic song “Africa” after a persistent fan with the Twitter handle @weezerafrica pestered the band for a year to perform the song. You can hear that here.
