Long Island’s Great South Bay Music Festival, returns to celebrate its 12th anniversary from July 12-15. The area’s longest running 4-day music festival will feature over 65 artist from multiple genres, including classic and contemporary rock, funk, jam, and blues on four different stages.
A special mystery headliner for Sunday night’s show will be announced on April Fools Day. Artists scheduled to appear during the four day event include Sublime with Rome, Thrice, Less Than Jake, Little Feat, Electric Hot Tuna, Umphrey’s McGee, Dirty Heads, The Front Bottoms, Papadosio, JGB featuring Melvin Seals, Envy On The Coast, Devon Allman Project, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Imagination Movers, Awaken, and Ritual Talk, with several artist still TBA.
The all-ages music and arts festival will take place at Patchogue Village’s charming waterfront in Shorefront Park. Festival-goers 21 and older can enjoy craft beers located under three different tents and a wine garden. The festival will also feature an artisan and craft market, and a food court, offering a diverse menu of funky and healthy foods.
Thursday’s lineup will kick off with nine bands, including headliners The Front Bottoms, Thrice, The Get Up Kids and Long Islander’s Envy on the Coast. Doors open at 3 p.m.
Fourteen artists round out Friday’s lineup, including headliners Sublime with Rome, Dirty Heads, and Less Than Jake on the main stage. Doors open at 3 p.m.
Known as “Jam-rock day” during the festival, Saturday’s lineup will see headliners Umphreys’ McGee, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Papadosio, and JGB featuring Melvin Seals. Doors open at 1 p.m.
Nineteen bands will close out the festival on Sunday with the special guest headliner to be announced on April 1. Little Feat, Electric Hot Tuna, and the Devon Allman Project featuring Duane Betts will appear Sunday. Sunday will also include the annual Sunday Kids Concert featuring Disney’s: Imagination Movers. Doors for kids concert open at 11 a.m. and for the festival itself at 1:30 p.m.
