For the last 23 years in the month of March, fans of the Vans Warped Tour anticipate the festival’s lineup announcement in the hopes of a dream lineup each year. After announcing what cities would hold the festival’s final run weeks ago, at the stroke of March, Vans wasted no time announcing which bands would partake in the tour’s final full cross country tour.
Taking on an already different feel, there was no live stream with Warped tour founder Kevin Lyman, announcing bands and the stages they will perform on, just a three and half minute video posted to social media. Several familiar faces will make one more run on the tour that helped shape their careers including Simple Plan, 3OH!3, Asking Alexandria, Motionless In White, Beartooth, Sum 41, Black Veil Brides, Falling In Reverse, The Amity Affliction, Crown The Empire, Every Time I Die, All Time Low, and Bowling for Soup.
The tour will set sail for the last time on June 21, at the Pomona Fairplex in California. Warped Tour will make their two annual stops in New York on July 25, at the Darien Lake Amphitheater in Darien Center, and July 28, at Jones Beach in Wantagh.
Stage Breakdowns for most bands were also revealed as part of the video announcement. Some artist will appear on select dates, with more special guests to be added before the tour starts. Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 8.
