Gov’t Mule Announces Spring Tour with Five NY Dates

Southern rock jammers Gov’t Mule announced a spring tour with 13 shows on the east coast, including five in New York. The tour includes a two-night run at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. Pre-sale began Wednesday, with the general on-sale beginning Friday, Feb. 9.

The band is touring behind the release of its 10th studio album “Revolution Come… Revolution Go” which they released in June 2017.

The tour begins on April 18 in Bethlehem, PA. They travel the next day to Erie, PA. Mule will head east to play at the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse on Friday, April 20. Black Stone Cherry will open the show. Black Stone Cherry will open for Mule on five of the first shows.

After Syracuse, the Mule travels 300 miles south for a show in Baltimore April 21. Then they play the next day, April 22, in Charleston, WV.

Gov’t Mule’s two original members, Warren Haynes (guitar/vocals) and Matt Abts (drums) are joined by Danny Louis (keyboards/guitar/vocals) and Jorgen Carlsson (bass) in this incarnation of the band. They will be busy playing five nights in a row when they bring their band back to New York.

They tour hits Long Island on April 25, in Westbury, for a show at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury.

April 26, Mule plays at the Palace Theatre in Albany. Black Stone Cherry returns to open for this show.

For Friday and Saturday April 27 and 28, Gov’t Mule plays the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, for a two-night run.

They travel the next day to play Sunday at the Asbury Park Music & Film Festival April 29 in Asbury Park, NJ.

Gov’t Mule will head to the South two wrap things up in early May. They play May 2 in Huntsville, Ala., May 3 in Mobile, Ala. Black Stone Cherry will join them again for both shows.

The tour concludes May, 4, in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre. Marcus King Band will open for Mule on that date.
