The Buddhahood Holiday Shows in Rochester

Rochester ska band the Buddhahood announced some hometown holiday shows coming up later this week, as well as the annual January Thaw concert.

The Buddhahood is set to play a pair of shows on Saturday, Dec. 2 to celebrate the holidays. The first show is part of the South Wedge neighborhood celebration “It’s a Wonderful Life in the South Wedge and A Handmade Holiday 2017.” The festivities run from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with five music acts, including the Buddhahood, who performs at 3:00 p.m. as part of the The Buddhahood Drum and Horn Parade in Star Alley Park on South Ave. All festivities are free.

The second show on Saturday starts at 9:30 p.m. at ButaPub for the Buddhahood’s holiday party. Tickets for this 21 and over show are $5.

The Buddhahood is also on the bill for the 10th and final January Thaw concert. The show takes place on Jan. 26 at Anthology. The Buddhahood plans to bring out many special guests for this event with proceeds going to the Tony Cavagnaro Young Musicians Scholarship Fund, benefiting the Hochstein School of Music and Dance. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Advance tickets are available now for $10. Attendees of all ages are welcome, with those under 18 required to be present with an adult.
