2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees Named

Drum roll, please… the 2018 nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are: Bon Jovi, Kate Bush,The Cars, Depeche Mode, Dire Straits, Eurythmics, J. Geils Band, Judas Priest, Link Wray, LL Cool J, MC5, The Meters, Moody Blues, Nina Simone, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Rufus (featuring Chaka Kahn), Sister Rosetta Tharpe, and The Zombies.

Of the 19 candidates who made the cut, nine have just become eligible this year (having their first official recordings 25 years ago). Ballots will be sent to a voting body, and fans will also have a chance to vote in the “fans’ ballot.” Voting is open through Dec. 5 on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website. Inductees will be named in December, with the annual induction ceremony scheduled for April 14.
