Phish Returns to Madison Square Garden for New Year’s Run

Phish will make a return to Madison Square Garden in late December for a four night New Year’s Run. This run will bring their total shows at New York City’s storied arena to 56.

The rumors of Phish doing “17 in ’17” at Madison Square Garden, following their 13 night Baker’s Dozen run, came true. The Vermont jamband returns to the world’s most famous arena Dec. 28 to 31 to ring in 2018. The run marks their 11th New Year’s show at the venue. Currently tied with the Grateful Dead having the third most shows at MSG behind Billy Joel and Elton John, this run will bump the Grateful Dead out of the top three.

A request period for the ticket lottery is currently underway, ending on Monday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. Tickets for the general public go on sale on Friday, Oct. 6 at noon.

Phish has teamed up with CID Entertainment to offer travel packages for the run. The packages include lodging and tickets for the shows and go on sale on Sept. 22 at noon. The band’s portion of the proceeds from the sales of these packages will be donated to the Waterwheel Foundation.
