Funk Night Returns to Albany August 17 at The Hollow

Albany is getting the funk back. On Aug. 17 at The Hollow Bar and Kitchen, NYS Music is proud to present the return of Funk Night in Albany, hosted by Justin Henricks.

Wurliday guitarist and frontman Henricks is bringing out a crew of Worcester, MA and Hartford, CT Funk Night alumni to celebrate his birthday on Thursday, Aug. 17 as funk night makes its way to Albany. He’s bringing with him Beau Sasser (keys), Adrian Tramantano (drums) and Chris DeAngelis (bass) from Kung Fu, Bryan Brundige (trombone) and Phil Chow (trumpet) from The Chronicles and Syracuse singer Zee-Zee on vocals.

Henricks is rightfully excited about the return of Funk Night to Albany at The Hollow, “I think it’s very exciting to start up a night in Albany that can get a scene of musicians and music lovers out on a regular basis. I’m also very excited to continually host many amazing musicians from the Northeast.”

Doors open at 8pm with the show starting at 9pm. 18+, $10 cover

Funk night will continue in September at The Hollow, so come out and let’s get this party started Albany!
