Stone Sour to Play Intimate Capital Region Venue

Albany area hard rock and metal fans, if you miss this show, you’re going to feel like an “Absolute Zero.” Stone Sour has announced that they will invade the Capital Region this summer, before heading off overseas to finish most of the 2017 calendar year.

Capital Region hard rock fans did a double take when looking at their computer screens, and cell phones when Stone Sour posted a concert status on social media that they are coming to Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park, on Saturday August 5. Tickets may sell out fast, so don’t miss your chance on seeing Stone Sour making a rare appearance, and performing inside a smaller intimate venue. Advanced general admission tickets cost $35, and day of show (if any), will cost $38, at the door.

Stone Sour will be out in full support of their brand new, sixth studio album Hydrograd. The album will be released on June 30 via Roadrunner Records. Stone Sour was formed in 1992 by frontman Corey Taylor. The band was nominated three times for a Grammy award for, Best Metal Performance, in 03, 04, and 06. Taylor won a Revolver Golden Gods award in 2013 for Best Vocalist.

Upstate Concert Hall will need a new roof after this show. Seeing Taylor and the boys from Stone Sour in this setting will be one for the record books. So Capital Region, if you’re not ready to stop looking “Through Glass,” and bring your a-game to this show, don’t even “Bother” coming, because by “Song #3,” everyone in Upstate Concert Hall will be “Made Of Scars.”

Stone Sour is Corey Taylor (vocals), Josh Rand (guitar), Christian Martucci (guitar), Johny Chow (bass), and Roy Mayorga (drums).
