LA Glam Rockers Frankie + The Studs Heading to New York

Frankie + The Studs are reviving good old-fashioned rock ‘n roll. Leather-clad and full of punk attitude, the quartet from Hollywood draw their inspiration from legends such as Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and The Ramones. They’re touring in support of their debut EP High On Yourself. Catch Frankie + The Studs as they roll through the east coast on tour with Biters this month, with stops in Rochester on May 26, Poughkeepsie on May 27, and Brooklyn on May 31.

Born with music running through her veins, Frankie is the daughter of musician and producer Gilby Clarke. Legend has it her first steps were taken on a tour bus. Frankie, the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, is backed by lead guitarist Ronnie Simmons, bassist Johnny Martin, and drummer Matt Lucich. In addition to their original songs, they are known to play classic covers, like Nick Gilder’s 1978 hit “Hot Child in the City.” This is the second trip to The Empire State for these veterans of LA’s Viper Room and Lollapalooza 2016.
