Rochester’s King Buffalo to Perform at SXSW, Unveil Tour Dates

King Buffalo will be playing a few showcases at SXSW in Austin, Texas next month. The psychedelic rock band from Rochester announced tour dates leading up to and following their performances at one of the largest music festivals in the world, now in it’s 20th year.

Shows have been lined up for the coming weeks, including Buffalo on Friday, February 24 at Mohawk Place and a hometown show in Rochester on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Bug Jar. Merchandise and Orion in a variety of formats are available at shows, or can be purchased online, however, the European-released vinyl is available exclusively through Stickman Records.

Band members Sean McVay (guitar and lead vocals), Dan Reynolds (bass) and Scott Donaldson (drums and backing vocals) released their debut album, Orion, last summer, receiving international acclaim. In addition to SXSW, the band was invited to play the Stoned From the Underground Festival in Erfurt, Germany this year.
