Joe Walsh, Michael McDonald, Dr. John to Play ‘Love Rocks NYC!’ Benefit Concert

The Beacon Theatre in New York City will host a star-studded concert to benefit God’s Love We Deliver, a non-profit organization that provides meals to New York City residents suffering from severe illnesses, celebrating 31 years of service.

Love Rocks NYC! A Change is Gonna Come: Celebrating Songs of Peace, Love, and Hope,” as the benefit concert is being called, takes place Thursday, March 9 at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. The all-star genre-bending lineup includes the likes of Joe Walsh, Mavis Staples, Jackson Browne, Gary Clark Jr., Michael McDonald, Cyndi Lauper, Dr. John, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Keb Mo, Warren Haynes, Aaron Neville, Marc Cohn, Amy Helm, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Jackie Greene and Joan Osborne. The artists will be backed by the Love Rocks House Band, which features Paul Shaffer, Steve Gadd, Shawn Pelton, Eric Krasno, Larry Campbell and Jeff Young and is led by musical director Will Lee.

Tickets for Love Rocks NYC! go on sale tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 28 at noon. All proceeds from the concert will benefit God’s Love We Deliver.
