Second Annual Chicago Open Air Lineup Announced

Chicago Open Air’s second annual lineup has been announced, and boasts some really big names in rock music. The three day festival that runs July 14-16, will take place at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL, features headliners Kiss, Korn, Ozzy Osbourne and over 40 more of yesterday and today’s best in rock and metal.. The event will once again be hosted by SiriusXM’s über metalhead, Jose Mangin.

Friday night’s opening lineup will kick things off in a huge way. Headlining the opening night of the festival will be rock icons Kiss. Friday will also feature Rob Zombie, Megadeth, Anthrax, Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan, Falling in Reverse, Crobot, Failure Anthem and Joey Jordison’s new band Vimic.

Saturday’s lineup will see Korn in the headliner slot, along with Godsmack, Seether, Clutch, Steel Panther, Mushroomhead and Ice-T’s band Bodycount.

Sunday will close out with rock/metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, in the headliner slot, with a supporting cast that consists of Slayer, Stone Sour, Lamb Of God, Amon Amarth and HELLYEAH.

Festival goers will have plenty to do if they want to take a break from all the live music. Many vendors are returning and will be on hand to offer several different experiences throughout the festival.

Gourmet man food is back to feed festival goers with mixed up, large portions of burgers, bbq, grilled cheese, burrito bowls, doughnuts and pizza, from numerous food vendors that will be on site. Many of last year’s festival favorites are making a return to Chicago Open Air including Kuma’s Corner, Aporkalypse Now, Cheese Louise, Chicago Dog House and Pizano’s.

Fans 21 and over can head over to the Headbangers Bier Hall, and take in a variety of craft beers that will be available by various Illinois beer makers including Goose Island, Half Acre Beer Company, Lagunitas Brewing, Revolution Brewing and Two Brothers. Other craft beers will be available from the Surly Brewing Company, and Iron Maiden’s Trooper Beer will be on hand.

Monster Energy will help fuel fans and keep the energized throughout the day with fee samples of their energy drinks.

Stop by the FYE experience where you can purchase CDs and vinyl of your favorite artists. Fans can also stick around for several meet and greet opportunities with artists that will take place.

Fans can also check out the Music Experience, where festival goers can learn how to make music in a professional band setting, all while being able to try the latest equipment that today’s artists use. The Music Experience will also offer fans a chance to meet their favorite artist or band, with various meet & greet opportunities.

Single day tickets cost $50 before fees. There are two separate general admission options starting at $119.50 and $209.50. Weekend V.I.P passes will cost $425.
