Clutch Returns to NY This Fall

Clutch is returning to New York, as the band has announced plans to extend their “Psychic Warfare World Tour” through the fall. Heading out on the road to help support the tour on the next leg of the cycle will be Zakk Wylde’s  side project Zakk Sabbath, playing songs on the road for the first time since forming the group. Kyng, will round out the tour.

Clutch Tour

Clutch extended its tour in support of its eleventh studio album Psychic Warfare, which was released in Oct. 2015.  Since its release, the album debuted at number one on both the Billboard Hard Rock and Rock charts, number two on the Billboard Independent chart, and number 11 on the Billboard 200. The album sold over 26,000 copies in its first week, making it the band’s best ranking album in sales, and chart ranking.

Clutch released a numbered, special edition 12 inch vinyl of the album on Record Store Day this past April. Fans who got their hands on one were treated to two unreleased tracks from the recording session, “Mad Sidewinder,” and “Outland Special Clearance.”

New York will see two stops on the “Psychic Warfare World Tour.” Buffalo kicks the tour off at the Town Ballroom on Sept. 28, and Oct. 29, at Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park.

NYS Music sat down with Clutch drummer Jean-Paul Gaster earlier this year. Check out the conversation here.
