Update: Mountain Jam and Governors Ball Cancel Sunday Performances Due to Impending Weather

Update 5:22 p.m.: Mountain Jam has cancelled all musical performances for Sunday evening. A statement on the festival’s Facebook page notes:

To our 2016 Mountain Jam attendees,

We regret to announce that the remainder of Sunday, June 5th, at Mountain Jam 2016 has been cancelled, due to severe weather in the area. We are devastated to make this decision, but the safety of our fans, artists and crew always comes first. Please evacuate the festival grounds immediately. We advise you to leave the venue. If you stay, please take shelter in your vehicles, RVs, the Learning Center, Healey Brothers Hall or the Hunter Mountain Base Lodge.

Due to the impending weather and chance of lightning, Governors Ball management has decided to cancel all events on Day Three. Scheduled to perform this evening were Kanye West, Death Cab for Cutie, Prophets of Rage, Courtney Barnett, Eagles of Death Metal, Chet Faker among others.
