Legends Set to Take You on a Desert Trip

Another festival full of heavy hitters has been announced from the individuals who plan the immensely popular Coachella in Indio, California. After rumors have been floating for weeks and Paul McCartney and others posted similar video teasers on Facebook with only the word “October” late last week, today Desert Trip has been confirmed for three nights: Oct. 7 to 9.

The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan are set to perform Friday, Oct. 7, Paul McCartney and Neil Young on Saturday, Oct. 8, followed by Roger Waters and the Who closing on Sunday, Oct. 9.

Passes go on sale Monday, May 9. Ticket prices range from $399 for general admission to $1,599 for general admission pit. Passes for both car and tent camping are also available for an additional cost.

Both McCartney and Dylan are currently on tour, with Dylan releasing a new album, Fallen Angels, on May 20. McCartney is currently on a one-on-one tour and is releasing Pure McCartney, a compilation album of hits throughout his career, on June 10.

Performances for the Desert Trip festival will include full sets from each artist. Wine tastings, pop-up restaurants, and other events are also planned.

This is the first time these six acts — all members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame — have shared the same bill, creating this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Visit deserttrip.com for more details.
