Northwest String Summit Announces Initial Lineup

Yonder Mountain String Band announced the initial lineup for their Northwest String Summit. Included are two nights of Greensky Bluegrass for their eighth appearance at the festival.

The 15th annual Northwest String Summit will take place July 14-17 at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, Oregon. In addition to three nights of Yonder Mountain and the two nights of Greensky Bluegrass, festival goers will be treated to two nights each of Leftover Salmon, The Infamous Stringdusters, Fruition, the Shook Twins, Danny Barnes, Ben Sollee, Billy Strings, Cabinet, Wood & Wire and Horseshoes & Hand Grenades. Keller Williams will be back with two projects – Keller Williams With More Than a Little and Keller Williams’ Grateful Gospel. Winner of the 2015 band contest, John Craigie, is included in the festival. Other bands include the Polyrhythmics, The Lowest Pair, Rabbit Wild, Taarka and Brothers Comatose.

For the first time, a premier four-day pass package is being sold. Included in this package is exclusive access to the kickoff party on July 13 at the Aladdin Theatre in Portland, Oregon with Fruition. The kickoff party benefits the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a charity which supports childhood cancer research. The premier four-day pass packages also include a commemorative Klean Kanteen stainless steel pint glass. These passes are on sale now for $200.

Regular four-day passes for the festival will go on sale on Friday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. PST for $175 until tier 1 tickets are sold out, when they increase to $200. Tier 2 three-day passes will become available for $170 once the tier 1 four-day passes sell out. Also on sale on Feb. 5 are RV parking passes for $160 and tier 1 general parking passes for $20, which increase to $25 once tier 1 passes are sold out.
