Axl Rose Cancels Kimmel, to Reunite With Slash and Duff at Coachella

Well Guns N’ Roses fans, the moment you’ve been waiting for is here. After years of separation and weeks of speculation, the rumors are finally laid to rest. Original Guns N’ Roses members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan will reunite for at least two weekends this spring.

Rose, Slash and McKagan all posted the above picture on their Facebook pages, confirming that the core three will reunite on the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Coachella also confirmed Guns N’ Roses appearance as they posted their three-day festival lineup to go along with the Guns N’ Roses social media postings.

Coachella’s two-weekend festival will see Guns N’ Roses headline both Saturday shows that will take place on April 16 & 23 in Indio, California. Those shows will also include hip hop legend Ice Cube and EDM artist Zedd.

Rose canceled his appearance for Jimmy Kimmel Live, due to “unforeseen circumstances.” Fans were hoping Rose was going to enlighten them on who will actually play drums and rhythm guitar with the band when they take the stage at Coachella and a possible stadium tour.

Hardcore GNR fans are clamoring for the original 1986 lineup to return, that also includes Izzy Stradlin (guitar) and Steven Adler (drums).

Most rumors have current drummer Frank Ferrer and guitarist Richard Fortus, joining the core three members on stage, which would disappoint many faithful GNR fans.

Coachella will also feature the also-reuniting LCD Soundsystem on both Friday nights, April 15 and 22. Those nights will also feature Ellie Goulding and Sufan Stevens.

Sunday’s Coachella show will see EDM artist Calvin Harris headlining both closing nights on April 17 and 24. EDM sound will dominate each closing night at Coachella, as Sia and Major Lazer will also appear on Sunday night.
