Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale will join Trans-Siberian Orchestra on stage for both performances at their upcoming shows in Cleveland, Ohio on Dec. 30 at the Quicken Loans Arena.
Hale will perform the song “Forget About The Blame (Moon Version).” The song is featured as a bonus track on TSO’s newest studio album Letters From The Labyrinth, which features Hale on that track.
The venture came about when TSO reached out to Hale and asked her to sing on the track. Hale and TSO met together in Nashville while Halestorm was on a small break and cut the track there.
Singer Robin Borneman performs both versions of the track, but TSO wanted a version from a female perspective of the song. TSO founder Paul O’Neill wanted a vocalist that had that “whiskey dust” sound in her voice and thought Hale would be a perfect fit.
TSO was formed in 1996 by O’Neill, a producer, composer and lyricist who has worked with many big names in the music industry over the years. O’Neill has produced and managed bands that include Aerosmith, AC/DC, Joan Jet, Scorpions and the progressive metal band Savatage, where O’Neill tapped members Joe Olivia, Al Pitrelli and Robert Kinkel to help form TSO.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s annual holiday tour titled The Ghost Of Christmas Eve runs through the end of December.
