Black Sabbath Adds Second North American Leg to Final Tour

British metal legends Black Sabbath announced that they will add 18 dates to their North American touring cycle for the bands upcoming The End tour. One of those announced dates include Nikon at Jones Beach in Wantagh on Aug. 17.

The North American dates were added through the end of the summer season due to high demand for American fans to say farewell, and rock out, one more time with this legendary band.

Sabbath plans to go out with a bang. The tour promises fans their most mesmerizing production ever, as it will surpass previous tours visual content.

The first leg of the North American tour will start on Jan. 20, at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and end with a two-night stay at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 25 and 27.

Sabbath will then head off to Australia, New Zealand, and many parts of Europe before heading back to North America to close out the summer. The tour itself will see 58 shows in all and come to an end at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona.

Sabbath’s current lineup consists of three of its four original members including vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tommy Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler. Iommi was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2012.

It’s still unclear if Sabbath and original drummer Bill Ward will bury the hatchet for the upcoming tour as Ward has been estranged from the band for several years. Ward did not appear on the bands reunion album 13, or the tour the album supported.
