Seth Adam Brings The ‘Funk’ to Funk and Waffles

As fall approaches and the students return to the hill in Syracuse, we see the music scene in the city begin to once again rev up. One of the student favorite locals would be Funk & Waffles. Originally started by two Syracuse University students, Kyle Corea and Adam Gold, this pair of entrepreneurs took a creative concept of mixing amazing breakfast foods and live music to create the perfect place for students to retreat to. Fast forward a few years, and we now have welcomed a second location to further share this utterly amazing concept of waffel-y eats with even more great music throughout the city. SCORE!  With a full menu of tasty waffles, and  just as eclectic a mix of musical choices on the calendar, there is something for every music lover to enjoy when they come to Funk & Waffles.

Nothing to do this Friday, September 18? Funk & Waffles downtown will welcome Connecticut native, Seth Adams for his first visit to the venue. Adams’ music has been described as a combination of Americana, Country and Rock. Touring currently to promote his newly released album, Steel Tempered Pride, Seth will open the evening with an acoustic set of music that is bound to warm up the crowd and steal the hearts of those that hear him. Also playing are Uptowne Buddha and locals Deyquan Bowens & Music Box 315.

Doors open at 8:00p.m. and the show begins at 9:00p.m. Tickets can be purchased online and at the door for $7. Great food, and three bands, how can you go wrong?  Hope to see you there.
