Rock-fusion quartet Tauk, is set to release a live duel-disc album titled Headroom, through 1320 Records on Sept. 4. 1320records.com will hold an exclusive live 24-hour streaming of the album the night before on Sept. 3.
The album will showcase tracks from the bands relentless 2015 touring cycle. Tracks for the album were hand selected from shows performed at The Norva in Norfolk, Virginia; The National in Richmond, Virginia; The Madison Theater in Covington, Kentucky; The Ritz in Raleigh, North Carolina; Iron Works in Buffalo, New York; The Southern in Charlottesville, Virginia; AURA Music Festival in Live Oak, Florida; and Terminal West in Atlanta, Georgia.
Headroom blends many musical genres including rock, fusion, hip hop, jazz, funk, melodic rock, and progressive rock. The album was mixed by Grammy-winning producer Robert Carranza and will also include a cover of Nirvana’s “In Bloom.” Tauk and Carranza have also worked together on other Tauk albums such as Collisions and Homunculus.
Digital versions of the Headroom will be available at taukband.com, homegrownmusic.net and all online retailers. Fans can purchase physical copies of Headroom at Tauk live shows.
