Nacre Dance Group Opens New Movement Space Studio C

The Nacre Dance Group has announced the opening of the new Studio C. The new studio comes just in time for the 2026-2027 dance season. The grand opening is on September 10, allowing attendees to have a sample class, meet instructors, and tour the new space.

Nacre Dance Group is a non-profit organization based in Saratoga Springs that works to preserve the art of dance through educational and performance opportunities. The center is open to everyone, from local visitors to longtime lovers of dance. 

Studio C will be the home of a complete movement studio, located in Round Lake at the Creative Dance Arts building. The movement studio space will allow for different classes and programming to use the space throughout the year. Nacre Dance Group has already announced some of its programming from now until November for all ages.

September 11 will see the first official movement usage of the space. “Magic Carpet Ride” is designed as a sound bath experience that blends science and art. Led by Barbara Spaulding, the experience will bring meditators into beautiful worlds of peace, wonder, imagination, and relaxation.

Shortly after, auditions are open for Nacre Dance Group’s “Nuts and Crackers.” The show will be an all-ages reimagining of The Nutcracker, with guest choreographers and artists helping to bring it to life. Auditions for dancers 13-17 will begin on September 12, while auditions for 5+ will begin on September 13. The auditions are taking place at Studio C. The final “Nuts and Crackers” performance is taking place at Universal Preservation Hall on November 22.

The first session of movement classes have also been announced. From September 14 to November 19, the studio is offering a range of classes in ballet, yoga, and modern dance. Some classes will focus on specific styles, from the choreography of Isadora Duncan to vinyasa yoga. Nacre Dance Group is offering a 10-class pass for multiple classes as well as flexible pricing.
