Trueno, Milo j, and J Noa Ignite LAMC’s SummerStage Finale in Central Park

Trueno, Milo j, and J Noa closed out Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC)’s run at Central Park’s SummerStage, which is also celebrating it’s 40th year, and the energy inside Rumsey Playfield was electric before a single note played. Hundreds of fans packed into the park for the final show of LAMC 2026, and from the moment the gates opened, it was clear it was going to be an unforgettable show.

J Noa, a rising Dominican rapper, opened the day with a performance that immediately set the tone. Her rapid-fire delivery and strong presence pulled the audience in early, proving exactly why she’s become one of the most talked about coming out of the Dominican Republic.

Milo j followed with a set that stood out visually and musically, taking the stage dressed in folkloric attire that paid homage to Argentine tradition. He moved through his hits like “Rara Vez” and “Bajo de la Piel” from his latest album, La vida era más corta, each one pulling the crowd further in as he blended his soulful sound with a modern twist.

Midway through his set, Milo j brought out Trueno for their hit song together, “Gil,” giving fans an early taste of the chemistry between the two artists from Argentina that would define the rest of the night.

When Trueno took over, he brough that raw energy, rooted in old-school rap and hip-hop tradition. He tore through his fan-favorite tracks like “TURRAZO,” “REAL GANGSTA LOVE,” and “VIOLENTO,” and a ton of others from his latest album, TURR4ZO, which has been making great waves since its release earlier this year.

Trueno brought a powerful presence to New York City. Throughout his set, videos played on the screen behind him tracing the history of hip-hop back to its roots in the Bronx, weaving in his own journey as an artist with old videos of him rapping as a child. The visuals were striking, but what really carried the set was Trueno himself, who stayed dialed into that raw, unfiltered energy and commanding presence the entire time.

Milo j returned to the stage later for their second collaboration of the night, “PUMAS,” giving the crowd another moment to see the two play off each other. For Milo j, the night marked his first time performing in New York City. This stop is the only date on Trueno’s current tour taking place in the United States.

One of the standout moments of the night came during Trueno’s performance of “TIERRA ZANTA,” when the crowd’s flags seemed to multiply, waving in unison as fans from across Latin America came together as one. It was the kind of moment that captured exactly what these shows are about with the shared sense of pride and identity that comes with it. 

By the end of the night, it was clear why this show had become one of the most anticipated of the summer. Artists like these represent an incredible new generation of Latin American talent, and it’s beautiful to see their growth unfold on a global scale, carrying their roots with them every step of the way.
