This spring, something special is taking root in the Catskills. On the day of the Full Flower Moon – Saturday, May 2 at the historic Griffin House in Palenville, Spring comes alive with the inaugural Growers Gathering. This relaxed, community-driven celebration of growers, makers, artists, and the endlessly curious is hosted by Damn Sam and Higher Beings, blending music, hands-on learning, art, food, and culture into one vibrant day, designed to bring people together around the joy of growing and creating.
Set against the scenic backdrop of the Catskills, Growers Gathering is more than a festival, it is a shared experience. From the moment gates open, the property will buzz with live music, workshops, demonstrations, and an atmosphere where ideas, seeds, and stories are freely exchanged.

Growers Gathering is where music meets soil, art meets knowledge, and community meets celebration. Whether you’re a seasoned grower, a curious beginner, or simply someone who loves good people and great energy, this is a day designed to inspire.
At the heart of the day is the Seed, Plant & Clone Exchange, a living marketplace of generosity and knowledge where growers swap genetics, tips, and inspiration. In the spirit of spring renewal, it’s a reminder that the best things grow when they’re shared.
The event features a full lineup of music and interactive experiences, with performances by the funky Dr. Jah & the Love Prophets, the world’s premier classic Black Sabbath Tribute Band: EARTH, and a powerful closing from The Englishtown Project (Playing the music of Grateful Dead, New Riders of the Purple Sage & The Marshall Tucker Band from Englishtown ’77). And a special guest emcee for the day? Jack Brown of Sophistafunk.

The grounds will host a curated selection of vendors, makers, artists, massage therapists, food trucks, and spirits, creating a lively marketplace full of flavor, creativity, and community. For those looking to extend the experience, the nearby Brookside Campground serves as the official Growers Gathering campground, offering the perfect place to unwind, connect with old & new friends, and keep the good vibes flowing long after the music fades.
Attendees can dive into hands-on workshops and demonstrations throughout the day, including:
- Grow Your Own Workshop with legendary cultivation educator Danny Danko (Grow Workshop with Author, former (18-year) senior cultivation editor for High Times – Host of GROW BUD YOURSELF podcast and the current Cultivation Director for CHAMPS trade shows.
