Béla Fleck & The Flecktones Reissue Beloved Record, 4 NY Tour Stops

Jazz fusion band Béla Fleck & The Flecktones will reissue their beloved holiday record “Jingle All the Way” on limited edition vinyl on November 21.

In 2009, “Jingle All the Way” won the GRAMMY for Best Pop Instrumental Album and hit number 1 on the Top Contemporary Jazz chart.

Jazz fusion band Béla Fleck & The Flecktones will reissue their beloved holiday record “Jingle All the Way” on limited edition vinyl on November 21.

To celebrate the album’s rerelease, The Flecktones will embark on a long-awaited supergroup tour. The tour will incorporate two different versions of the band for the first time – Fleck with Howard Levy on piano and harmonica, percussionist / drumitarist Roy “Future Man” Wooten and bassist Victor Wooten, and Jeff Coffin on saxophone, and special guests Alash, the Tuvan throat singing ensemble who appear on the studio record.

Kicking off on November 26, the tour will begin in Nashville, TN. With four stops in New York, the tour will feature the band performing its wild and diverse catalog. With the band’s stop at the Beacon Theatre, NYC, —the Flecktones’ largest NYC headline show to date— the Flecktones will also be transforming holiday classics, performed for the first time in fifteen years.

“Christmas music is inside everyone’s DNA,” says Fleck. “Jingle All the Way is an open doorway for listeners to understand the Flecktones’ music.”
