Fuerza Regida performed a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden on June 20.

Fuerza Regida is a rising Mexican music group that consists of frontman and vocalist Jesús “JOP” Ortiz Paz, Samuel Jáimez, Khrystian Ramos, José “Pelón” García, and Moisés López. The band formed in San Bernardino, California, in 2015, initially as a cover band, and eventually started making their own music. Their music catalogue includes multiple subgenres, like corridos tumbados, for which they are one of the pioneers for.

Fuerza Regida celebrated their latest album, 111xpantia, with their “This Is Not A Tour” back-to-back shows in New York City and Los Angeles. Both shows were sold-out, making Fuerza Regida the first act to sell out both Madison Square Garden and Hollywood Bowl in the same weekend. At both shows, there were Aztec dancers and an orchestra that opened playing some of the group’s biggest hits. At MSG, the Aztec dancers were walking around the halls as people were filing into their sections and purchasing food and merchandise. The Aztec choreography paid homage and honors the Nahuatl inspiration behind their album’s manifestation concept.
The New York and California dates were the only two U.S.-based shows for 2025 and the band is set to headline Estadio GNP Seguros in July, before they play in Guadalajara and Monterrey in Mexico, and two shows in Colombia later this year.

111xpantia made history becoming the highest-charting Spanish-language album by a duo or group on the Billboard 200, and the highest-charting album in the musica Mexicana genre. The album was just behind Bad Bunny’s DeBi TiRAR MáS FOToS, sitting at number two on the chart, marking the first time the top two albums in the U.S. were Spanish. This is an incredible and beautiful moment in history and for Latin music, as Latin artists continue to break barriers and rise globally.
It was truly an amazing show at Madison Square Garden, as the crowd stood up the entire time and sang along with every single song. The group started off by performing 111xpantia tracks such as “Por Esos Ojos”, “Marlboro Rojo”, “TU SANCHO”, and “ANSIEDAD”, which JOP said was one of his favorites from their new album. The setlist included other big hits like “NEL”, “UNA CERVEZA”, “Bebe Dame”, and “ME JALO”, which blew up all over TikTok and Instagram.
It was very cool to see fans embrace the music full of pride. You could see Mexican and other Latin flags waving throughout the entire arena, behind the shining lights. JOP was singing non-stop with bright pyro effects and interacting with fans. One of the best moments of the show was when a fan threw a Mexican flag onstage and JOP paused to wrap it over himself and took a moment to about the attacks on immigrants and that they were there together to fight against it.

It was a night full of fuego, intensidad, y amor. Fuerza Regida will perform next at Estadio GNP Seguros on July 26 in Mexico City. 111xpantia is out now on all digital platforms. For more details, visit Fuerza Regida’s official website.
