This summer, the Lunchtime at the Plaza Music Series returns to downtown Albany with free performances by local bands. The shows will go on every Wednesday from June 4 to Aug. 13 starting at noon and running until 1:30 p.m.

The Lunchtime at the Plaza Music Series will host a unique artist each week from fusion to country. This year’s series will features celebrations for Pride Month, Veterans Appreciation Day and the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The series also features the Empire State Plaza Farmers Market at the South Concourse on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food trucks will serve empanadas, salads, and burgers on the East Roadway.
If Wednesdays couldn’t get packed enough at the Empire State Plaza, the Capital Concert Series will go on in the evenings from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. throughout July and August.

Starting out the Lunchtime at the Plaza Music Series on June 4 is Side-B, an Albany based alt-rock band supporting their new EP Low Budget Romance.
July 2 will not have a performances, but will resume on July 9 with Gone Gray Band to celebrate Veterans Appreciation Day playing songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
Hallelujah Hat Trick will close out the summer series on Aug. 13 with their signature sound of seamlessly blended reggae, funk, jazz, R&B and rock into original music and jams.

July 23 — George Boone Band, pure, raw soul wrapped in legendary blues
July 30 — Slingshot Funk Band, high-energy funk, R&B, jazz, rock, reggae and soul from the 70’s to now
August 6 — The Wheel, the Capital Region’s authentic Grateful Dead tribute band
August 13 — Hallelujah Hat Trick
