Hot off the release of her heartfelt and gorgeous full-length LP “Home Video,” Lucy and her band have been touring throughout the US and Canada with several sold-out dates and support from a variety of artists including Tomberlin, Thao, fellow Boybenius alum Julien Baker, and Bartees Strange. Most shows have required vaccination for Covid-19 or proof of a negative test within 48 hours, and masks were strongly encouraged (a policy widely adopted by her fans).

Bartees Strange opened the first sold-out night on Monday (October 25, 2021), playing several tracks off their 2020 debut album “Live Forever” as well as an all-new song and a cover of The National’s “Lemonworld.” Frontman Bartees jumped, danced, and swept the audience away with an abundance of energy and passion in every note.

Lucy Dacus began her set with three fan favorites – Triple Dog Dare, First Time, and Addictions. The mostly-masked audience sang along with nearly every word. They swayed during the more sorrowful and soft songs like “Thumbs” and “Christine,” cheering and dancing for more upbeat tracks like “Hot and Heavy,” “Brando,” and “I Don’t Wanna Be Funny Anymore.”

Bartees Stange joined Lucy on stage for another crowd-pleaser, “Going Going Gone.” Before her encore, Lucy threw roses out to the audience and thanked them. For her encore and final song of the evening she played an unreleased solo acoustic track and asked the crowd not to record it.
