Greensky Bluegrass To Bring their Jam to NYC’s Pier 17

Michigan’s Greensky Bluegrass has been creating happiness via their signature fusion of bluegrass and jam rock since 2000. On August 2, they will grace one of New York City’s hottest venues, Pier 17. The band members include Michael Bont (banjo), Dave Bruzza (guitar), Paul Hoffman (mandolin), Michael Devol (bass) and Anders Beck (dobro).

Greensky Bluegrass performs “Time of My Life” with Lindsey Lou at Camp Greensky 2019

Greensky Bluegrass is fresh off of a hot southern tour, High Sierra Music Festival, and their own Michigan-based festival, Camp Greensky, held in the Manistee National Forest. The band kicked off the festival with two new memorable covers, Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston’s “It Takes Two” and Eddie Money’s “Two Tickets to Paradise”, and closed with another one with “Time of My Life.” Notable guests on stage included Billy Strings, Holly Bowling and Tom Hamilton. This band continues to stretch the limits of string music, with new covers and unconventional bluegrass guests.

Greensky’s appearance at Pier 17 is the last show in NY until the Borderland Festival on Sept 22 in East Aurora, NY, so get your fix! This is also the first time the band has played at the lower Manhattan venue, which boasts iconic views of the midtown skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge behind the stage. Tickets are available at the box office and Ticketmaster.
