New York State Blues Festival Kicks Off Thursday June 27

The New York State Blues Festival kicks off this week on Thursday June 27 and will run through Saturday June 29. Held in Clinton Square in Syracuse, the annual event brings a talent-packed lineup featuring local, regional and national touring acts.

Bad Mama’s Blues Band takes the stage on Thursday at 5:00 P.M. followed by Brownskin Band, and the New Orleans based funk powerhouse, Dumpstaphunk. Friday afternoon the music kicks of at 4:00 P.M. with Steve Grills & The Roadmasters with blues acts playing into the night ending with headliner Tommy Castro & the Painkillers. The Saturday lineup begins at 1:00 P.M. with Blues Ignition, and the music continues all day until Steven Van Zandt’s band Little Steven And The Disciples of Soul close out the night at 9:00 P.M.
