Utica’s Stanley Theatre Presents An Evening With Styx

The Stanley Theatre in Utica announced An Evening with Styx on Sunday November 10. The six-piece classic rock group have been playing for audiences for going on two decades, averaging 100 shows a year. Styx draws from almost forty years of material including many top charting hits.

This particular incarnation of Styx has been on the road together for over a decade and is looking forward to performing as many shows as it can, for as long as it can. “It all comes back to the chemistry,” says bassist/vocalist Ricky Phillips.

“The legacy of this band will be that it brought joy to millions of people,” notes drummer Todd Sucherman. Keyboardist/vocalist Lawrence Gowan adds, “We’ve always tried to explain why this is this happening. It’s obviously a multitude of factors, but the main one is that our show is really good! And if it’s really good, they’re going to come to see it again.”

Tickets go on sale on Thursday, June 20 for members of the Stanley Theatre. General public tickets go on sale Saturday, June 22, through Ticketmaster. More details can be found on the Stanley Theatre website.
