Lineup Announced for New York State Blues Festival

Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul, Tommy Castro & The Painkillers, and Dumpstaphunk will headline the 3-day-long New York State Blues Festival. The free event runs from Thursday, June 27 through Saturday, June 29 at Clinton Square in Syracuse. Supporting acts include Chicago blues veteran Lurrie Bell, Montreal based vocalist Dawn Tyler Watson, and Rochester’s legendary Joe Beard. As always, the festival also features the best of the region’s seasoned and up-and-coming blues-based groups.

The New York State Blues Festival is one of the largest free music festivals in the country. Its mission is to ” to promote, perpetuate, and cultivate this great American art form.” Funding comes from Market New York through I LOVE NY/ New York State’s Division of Tourism as a part of the Regional Economic Development Council awards, as well as corporate and private donations.
