The 5th Annual Adirondack Independence Festival has announced the 2019 lineup. Held over Labor Day weekend on Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1 at Charles R. Wood Festival Commons in Lake George, ADK Fest is referred to as “the party of the year.” Adirondack Independence Festival is recognized as a well balanced festival featuring not only some of the best nationally touring acts but also making sure to include many several regional artists and bands.
This year’s event will be headlined by Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, playing two sets. The festival will also feature performances by Pink Talking
Fish, Ryan Montbleau Band, Everyone Orchestra, Marco Benevento, Gubbulidis & Friends, Kung Fu, Lucid, Hayley Jane & the Primates, Midnight North, Barika, Deadgrass, People’s Blues of Richmond, The Big Takeover, Hartley’s Encore, Eggy, Funktional Flow, Annie in the Water and The New Motif , with one more headliner to be announced in late July.
Music at the commons is scheduled to go from 12:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on two alternating stages, open to all ages, followed by late night performances taking place at King Neptune’s Pub. Admission to the King Neptune’s shows is free to festival attendees 21 years of age and up. In addition to the great music, ADK Fest will also feature a variety of food and craft vendors, and a view of the Lake George fireworks on Saturday night.
Early Bird Weekend tickets are $75 and on sale now through Eventbrite. There is a special VIP option available, which includes admission to both days of the festival, a buffet dinner each night, free snacks, half-priced adult beverages, $2 water & soft drinks, a private viewing area (with private bar) and access to private bathrooms.
Another cool feature of the event is a special, multi-venue, festival pre-party on Friday Aug. 30, which will be free of charge both to festival attendees and to the general public. Scheduled performers include After Funk and Capital Zen at Shepard Park in downtown Lake George, followed by Floodwood, who will perform later in the evening at King Neptune’s.
