Godsmack, Shinedown Announce Full Summer Tour Schedule

Rock power houses, Godsmack, and Shinedown, will team up again and hit the road this summer for a 29-city co-headline tour across the U.S.

Some dates were announced as part of Live Nation’s “Ticket to Rock” package a week ago, and now, all the dates have been announced that are parts of the bands’ touring cycle.

By the positioning on the tour poster, Godsmack may close shows during the co-headline run. Both bands are set to release new albums in 2018 and are ready to tour in support of their new studio efforts. Support for the tour in select cities will include Like a Storm, and Red Sun Rising.

Godsmack will celebrate their 20 year anniversary, touring the band’s seventh studio album, When Legends Rise, which will be released on April 27. The bands first single off the album “Bulletproof,” has been in steady rotation since its debut. Godsmack won a Billboard music award for Rock Artist of the Year, in 2001. Their single “I Stand Alone,” spent 14 straight weeks at number one on the rock charts and was the most played rock song in 2002. Godsmack’s self titled debut album is certified four times platinum by the RIAA.

Shinedown is set release their sixth studio album Attention Attention, on May 4. The album’s lead single “Devil,” is a staple on rock radio stations everywhere. Attention Attention was the first album produced by band mate and bassist Eric Bass. The band labeled the concept album as a human dealing, depicting and overcoming their negativity through personal struggles to be reborn as a new person. Shinedown’s third studio album, The Sound of Madness, is certified twice platinum by the RIAA. Their single “Second Chance,” crossed over to top 40 radio and is certified three times platinum.

Three new dates have been added to New York, to go along with the “Ticket To Rock” date at Jones Beach in Wantagh to close the tour on Sept 2. Other shows include July 24, at the Darien Lake Amphitheater in Darien Center,  Aug.21, at SPAC in Saratoga Springs and Aug. 29, at the Lakeview Amphitheater in Syracuse. Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 23 at 10 a.m.
