Larry Kirwan and Friends to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Boulton Center

Since the retirement of Black 47 in 2014, former bandleader Larry Kirwan has been keeping the songs of the band alive through solo gigs and an annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration. This Saturday he returns with a full band to mark the occasion at Boulton Center for the Performing Arts in Bay Shore, Long Island. Kirwan’s St. Patrick’s Day band will be made up of the same talented folks who have joined him the last two years, featuring Coty Cockrell (piano), Deni Bonet (violin), Rene Hart (double bass), Thomas Hamlin (drums, Black 47), and Andrew Sharp (uilleann pipes). Special guests, to be announced, might be making appearances as well. This year, Kirwan is releasing a single “Heroes/Belfast,” inspired by a meeting between David Bowie and Kirwan and the city of Belfast, which will be performed at the show (“Heroes/Belfast” is available on iTunes and Amazon).

Tickets are $45/reserved or $40/Boulton Center VIP Member Club,  available from the Boulton Center website. The show starts on time at 8pm.
