Albany MOVE Music Festival Date, Artists Announced

7th Annual Event Takes Place April 28

Save the date for this year’s MOVE Music Festival. The annual indie rock event will include performances by a dozen acts from the Northeast. The festival will also include a free Industry Panel Discussion to help artists to learn more about the business side of music. Tickets are on sale now for the shows at an early bird discount rate through Eventbrite.

We are excited this year for Move Music Fest because it is a transition year. New partners are coming in. 2019 Move plans to be bigger and better.

This year’s musical performances will be held April 28th at the Parish Public HouseDawn’s Victory Café and The Olde English Pub.

Featured artists will be announced Monday include Diet Cig, C.K. and the Rising Tide, The Avalon Hi-Fi, Jouska, Late Sea, Auguste and Alden, the Ryan Leddick Trio, Jeremy James and the Villaneers, Aaron Rizzo, Sorrow Estate, Shlomo Franklin and School of Rock. Additional artists will be named. Over the years, Move has hosted over 600 local, regional and national artists including The Wombats, July Talk, Arkells, Locksley, Paranoid Social Club, SoSo Glos, Magic Man and Local favorites Sean Rowe, Eastbound Jesus, Jocelyn and Chris Arndt and many more.

Among this year’s speakers and panelists are Music Industry professor Nancy Tarr, producer Joe Blaney, manager and producer David Bourgeois, and music consultant Peter Iselin. The Industry Panel Discussion starts at 5pm at the Hampton Inn in Downtown Albany, and will be free and open to the public.
