JRAD Hitting Brooklyn in Summer Jaunt

Grateful Dead tribute act also making its way to the west coast

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead announced recently that the band will play a six-show tour this summer featuring a stop in Brooklyn at Prospect Park as part of Celebrate Brooklyn on July 19.

Lately, JRAD has ventured outside of its familiar spaces, the Capitol Theater and the Brooklyn Bowl, and that continues this summer. On Saturday, July 14, JRAD is set to perform at The Depot in Salt Lake city, before traveling back east.

The night after the Brooklyn show on July 20, the Blue Bank Hills Pavilion in Boston will get a dose of what is one of the most exciting Grateful Dead tribute acts going.

The last run of shows currently announced begins on Aug. 10 in Seattle with a gig at the Showbox, before they truck on to Eugene, Ore.’s McDonald Theatre. On Sunday, Aug. 12, JRAD closes out the summer in Bend, Ore., performing at the Athletic Club of Bend.

This year is shaping up to be a milestone for JRAD, with an already announced headlining show at Red Rocks Amphitheater. The Peach Music Festival, SweetWater 420 Fest and The Ride Festival are also on the schedule.

JRAD’s next shows are set for March 8, 9 and 10 at the Brooklyn Bowl, which kicks a short run of late winter concerts, which will also see them hit the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse on March 15 and the Palace Theatre in Albany on the 16th.

Tickets for the summer shows, according to the band’s official Facebook page, are set to go on sale to the general public on February 9.
