Strangefolk Announce Shows in Portland, Boston and Fairfield

One of the classic jam bands to come out of the Northeast in the 90s, Strangefolk, returns to the Northeast for a three show run covering their New England roots. The folk/ rock group will perform on January 19 in Waterville, ME at the Waterville Opera House, at Paradise Rock Club in Boston on January 20 and on January 21 at The Warehouse at FTC in Fairfield, CT.

Those who are unfamiliar with Strangefolk should definitely give them a shot if they’re in the Waterville or Boston area. They’re a seasoned group and have recently joined forces once again after a decade on their own. The group was created by Reid Genauer and Jon Trafton (guitar and vocals) in their college days at the University of Vermont circa 1990. They played around their campus and eventually recruited Erik Glocker (bass) and Luke Smith (drums) and created Strangefolk, flaunting catchy folk rock riffs with an improvisational twist all across the state.
