EDM Legend to Spin Capital Region This Fall

Legendary Dutch EDM Dj/producer Tiësto, will travel the eastern part of the United States this fall, with his very limited 8-city Club Life College Tour. Fog will start filling venues on Oct. 3, at The Pavilion at Pan Am in Indianapolis, In, and dissipate on Nov. 12, at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, PA.

One of those eight stops on the tour will include a night in the Capital Region at the Times Union Center, in Albany, on Nov.10. A special pre sale for tickets happen on Aug. 22-25. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Sept. 8.

Tiësto molded the genre known as Electronic Dance Music. Many EDM fans and music insiders have dubbed the Grammy award winning DJ “The Godfather of EDM.” In 2013, Tiësto was voted by DJ Magazine readers as the “Best DJ of the Last 20 Years,” and named “The Greatest DJ of All Time,” by a MixMag fan poll.

Mainstream audiences in 2000, learned quick who Tiësto was with his remix of Delerium’s hit song “Silence,” which features Sarah McLachlan, and in 2001, launched his career with his first solo album In My Memory. He was voted “Number one DJ in the World” by DJ Magazine‘s readership poll for three consecutive years from 2002-2004. In 2004, he became the first DJ ever to perform live at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and in 2007, launched his hit radio show “Tiësto’s Club Life.”

Tiësto won a Grammy at the 57th annual award show for “Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical” for his arrangement of R&B singer John Legend’s hit “All Of Me.” In 2014, he headlined New York’s Global Citizen Festival, in Central Park. His current single “Harder,” with KSHMR featuring Talay Riley, is currently blowing up EDM airwaves.
