Update: Adirondack Independence Music Festival Adds Pre-Parties

The Adirondack Independence Music Festival, taking place Labor Day Weekend in Lake George, added a pair of pre-parties on Friday, Sept. 1. The pre-party starts at 5 p.m. at Shepard’s Park Amphitheater with Led Zeppelin tribute act Out on the Lines opening for the Beau Sasser Trio, which features members of Kung Fu, and Bella’s Bartok. The party continues late night at King Neptune’s at 10:30 p.m. with Floodwood, featuring members of moe. and the Trey Anastasio Band.

The Adirondack Independence Music Festival finalized the lineup for the 2017 festival. It includes headliners Twiddle, along with Pink Talking Fish, Kung Fu and Ryan Montbleau, among others.

The third annual Adirondack Independence Music Festival takes place Sept. 2 and 3 at the Charles R. Wood Commons in Lake George. The festival features two stages along with a late night rage stage at King Neptune’s Pub. Music starts at 2 p.m. each day and ends at 3:30 a.m. on the late night stage. A selection of beer, wine, food and merchandise vendors will be familiar to those who attend many of the regional music festivals. An adult obstacle course will also be featured on site.

The lineup for the fest includes a number of festival circuit regulars from New York and the surrounding area including Hayley Jane and the Primates, West End Blend, Sophistafunk, the Funky Dawgz Brass Band, Mister F and Formula 5. Twiddle headlines the festival with two sets on Sunday, Sept. 3. The festival features three sets each from Grateful Dead tribute band Gratefully Yours and Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers tribute act Steal Your Peach. Also included in the lineup are Barika, Strange Machines, Capital Zen and Annie in the Water.

 

Tickets for the Adirondack Independence Music Festival are on sale now. A weekend pass runs $60 or $140 for VIP, while individual days are $30 or $80 for VIP. VIP tickets include a buffet dinner each night, discounted drinks and water, access to a private viewing area and private portapotties, a private lounge tent and access to a private rooftop bar at King Neptune’s for the late night set.
