Levitate Music and Arts Festival added a second day of festivities for the fifth anniversary of the Massachusetts South Shore festival. The lineup features several heavy hitters with Ziggy Marley, Dispatch, Umphrey’s McGee and Lake Street Dive headlining.
Levitate Music and Arts Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9 at the Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield, Massachusetts. The festival features two days of music for the first time in its five years. A number of big names play the festival. Saturday features Dispatch, two sets of Umphrey’s McGee, Stick Figure, the Revivalists, Deer Tick, Rubblebucket and the Rebirth Brass Band. Sunday sees Ziggy Marley, Lake Street Dive, JJ Grey & Mofro, Twiddle, Trevor Hall, Ripe and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. The festival also features Rochester’s Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad among others. The family-friendly festival features three stages and guarantees that no major acts will overlap.
Levitate Festival is produced by Levitate, a community-oriented surf and skate shop in Marshfield. Levitate works with local youth programs, beach cleanups and other fundraisers. Last year they donated $18,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield.
Tickets for Levitate run $119 for general admission two-day passes. Single day passes are available for $79 for Saturday and $64 for Sunday. The festival also offers a VIP pass, which gets guests a number of amenities, including a free oyster bar, free passed hors d’oeuvres and prime shaded viewing areas. VIP passes are $359 for both days or $179 for a single day. While the festival does not allow camping on site, it partners with two local camping areas. Campers can purchase a two-day shuttle pass for either campground for $34.
