moe.down Announces Initial Line-Up for 2017 Festival

After a three year hiatus, moe.down 16 has dropped the first in their line-up announcements.  The three day festival will take place at Snow Ridge Ski Resort in Turin, NY June 30 – July 2.

The initial line-up for moe.down 16 includes a variety of artists and musical acts including Atlanta based Southern Rockers Blackberry Smoke,  legendary ska/punk/funk/rock outfit Fishbone, bluegrass masters Railroad Earth, singer-songwriter Ryan Montbleau and Vermont jam quartet Twiddle.

moe. guitarist Al Schnier  and his side project, Al and the Transamericans,  will be featured in a “special reunion set” to open the fetival and moe. will be playing seven sets throughout the weekend.

Also included in the first announcement is Vinnie Amico’s (moe.) side project Floodwood,  Vermont based Hayley Jane and the Primates,  electro-funk fusion Kung Fu, jazz-punk Mike Dillon Band (ft. Jim Loughlin),  Central New York based electro-rock Mister F, Organ Freeman, and Boston based pop, dance, funk jam band Ripe. North Country roots rockers the Black River, Florida based reggae fusion The Hip Abduction and Saratoga Springs-based band Wild Adriatic complete the initial line-up announcement.

Organizers hope that 2017 will be a return to the festival’s roots while acting as a weekend reunion for the band and their musical associates as well as the band’s friends, family and fans.

Past moe.down line-ups have comprised a varied list of artists including: The Black Keys, Gary Clark, Jr., Cracker, TV on the Radio, Amos Lee, Ani DiFranco, Galactic, the Avett Brothers, Umphrey’s McGee, Grace Potter, Levon Helm with Bob Weir, Cake, Violent Femmes, Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, Ween, Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party, the Roots and many more.

moe.down 16 will include a variety of vendors as well as the return of the family friendly Kid’s Tent.

Three day passes to moe.down are still available. VIP packages and RV passes have sold out. Payment plans options are available. Camping is included in all moe.down tickets.  Attendees can also upgrade to glamping options or take advantage of nearby hotels.

Additional line-up announcements are expected in late spring.
