Ottawa’s RBC Bluesfest Offers Ten Days of Stellar Performances

Our neighbors to the north host one of the world’s greatest music festivals, drawing top notch talent. The RBC Bluesfest in LeBreton Flats, Ottawa runs from July 6-16 this year. As the name suggests, blues bands will be performing; however the lineup also includes musicians from a variety of genres. Top billing performers for this year are Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Muse, Pink, LCD Soundsystem, Flume, Toby Keith, 50 Cent, and Jake Owen.

Lineup:

July 6: Toby Keith, Sam Roberts Band, Death From Above 1979, Pokey LaFarge, Bill Durst’ Blve Hills, Telecomo and Tribe Royal.

July 7: Justin Moore, Melissa Etheridge, Matt Andersen, DJ Mustard, Anna Lunde, Too Slim & the Taildraggers, Madeline Merlo, Anthony Geraci, Eddie Quotez and Eru-Era.

July 8: 50 Cent, Tegan and Sara, Brandi Carlile, Eric Lindell, Gord Bamford, Molly Hatchet, Too Slim & the Taildraggers, Mydy Rabycad, Sugaray Rayford, Brea Lawrenson Band, Flight Distance, Lynne Hanson and the Good Intentions, the Angelina Hunter Trio and the Tackies.

July 9: Pink, High Valley, Slam Allen, Eric Lindell, Johnnyswim, Vanessa Collier, Gabrielle Shonk, Malaka, Sparklesaurus Three Times Lucky Trevor Alguire and Twin Flames.

July 11: Jake Owen, Fetty Wap, July Talk, RL Grime, Rezz, Boogie, Carolyn Wonderland, Harea Band and Jesse Pascoe.

July 12: LCD Soundsystem, Gary Clark, Jr., the Shins, Phantogram, Anderson East, Begonia, Carolyn Wonderland, Angelique Francis, Fevers, Julie Corrigan and Slack Bridges.

July 13: Flame, Migos, Lil Yachty, Daniel Caesar, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Foy Vance, Coco Montoya and Wicked Grin.

July 14: Live, Thornetta Davis, the Campbell Brothers and Old Man Grant.

July 15: Muse, Xavier Rudd, Night Lovell, Bob Moses, Dead Obies, Wide Mouth Mason, Thornetta Davis, the Campbell Brothers, Blakdenim, Mushy Gushy, Pine and the Jivewires.

July 16: Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Peter Wolf, Tim Hicks, Midnight Shine, Alison Rose and High Waters.

Full festival presale ticketing begins Thursday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. for adults, youth, and Club VIP.
