Pink Talking Fish to Play ‘Stop Making Sense’

Pink Talking Fish will headline the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester for a special show during which they will cover the Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense album in its entirety.

Pink Talking Fish heads to Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre for a special show covering the Talking Heads live album Stop Making Sense. The show takes place on Friday, Feb. 3. Several guests will join the band on stage for the performance, which will feature the music of Phish and Pink Floyd interwoven through their cover of the iconic album. The guests include Leo Nocentelli (guitar, The Meters), the Turkuaz horn section, Jon Braun (guitar/vocals, Start Making Sense), Shira Elias and Sammi Garett (vocals, Turkuaz), Jen Durkin (vocals, Deep Banana Blackout) and Adrian Tramontano (drums, Kung Fu). Reed Mathis’s Electric Beethoven open the show. Electric Beethoven features Jay Lane, Todd Stoops and Clay Welch.

The band will be announcing a winter tour in the near future. They have a handful of dates currently scheduled around the area. They play the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania on Dec. 29 as part of the Sherman Winter Jam. They follow that with a Phish afterparty on Dec. 30 at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City, which will feature a performance of Pink Floyd’s Animals. They ring in the new year on Dec. 31 at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club where they will add the music of Michael Jackson for their Mirror Concept.

Tickets for the Stop Making Sense show go on sale Friday, Dec. 16 at noon and cost $20.
