Following backlash from comments he made at shows in Sacramento and San José, California, Kanye West canceled the 21 remaining shows on his Saint Pablo tour.

Kanye West made it through two shows on the second leg of his Saint Pablo Tour before canceling the remainder of the dates due to backlash stemming from comments he made during those first two shows. On Nov. 17 in San José, California, he told the crowd that while he did not vote in the presidential election this year, he would have voted for Donald Trump, while continuing to call Trump’s campaign “absolutely genius.” During the next show on Nov. 19 in Sacramento, he started 90 minutes late and performed only three songs before alleging that Beyoncé would not have performed at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards had she not been awarded Video of the Year for her “Formation” video. He stormed off stage following his rant.

Kanye West is no stranger to controversy having stated during a Hurricane Katrina concert live broadcast in 2005 that then-President George W. Bush does not care about black people. In 2009, he interrupted Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music awards while she was receiving her award for Best Female Video, stating that Beyoncé’s video for “Single Ladies” was one of the best music videos of all time. Just last year, he nearly made a similar move when Beck received his Grammy award for Album of the Year, but turned and walked off stage, choosing to make his opinion that Beck should respect artistry and give his award to Beyoncé known after the award show had ended.

The canceled tour dates include Dec. 11 at Albany’s Times Union Center and a two-night New Year’s Eve stand on Dec. 30 and 31 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Also among the canceled dates are two nights in Philadelphia on Dec. 13 and 15; Dec. 16 in Newark, New Jersey; Dec. 18 in Toronto; and Dec. 28 in Boston. Tickets will be refunded at the original point of sale.
