Huichica East (pronounced Wa-Cheek-ah), is a new concept of a micro festival with a small, “boutique”sized gathering, hand-picked artists, regional culinary taste, estate grown wines and craft beer. The festival was started by vintner Jeff Bundschu and musician Eric D. Johnson at Gundlach Bundschu Winery in Sonoma, California, who now hope to bring those sunny California vibes to the East Coast.

Huichica is basically great music, great produce, and no bad attitudes. We love it when the artists and purveyors themselves are great people- the kind you’d want to hang with,” said co-founder, Jeff Bundschu. “It has been a dream to bring what we’ve created in Sonoma, California to Hudson Valley, New York to the historic Chaseholm Farm, a most majestic setting among rolling hills and green pastures. The inaugural weekend is going to be epic!

(((folkYEAH!))) partnered with Huichica festival to bring the line-up, food and drink together. The festival will be held at the Chaseholm Farm, a grass-based dairy and beef farm with 360 acres of pastures, cropland and woods in Pine Plains. Children under 12 will be admitted for free. There is a cap of 600 tickets available for the festival.
