What began as a birthday party for festival founder “Big Lee” Mazzola in 2008, has grown into a full-fledged annual festival along the banks of the Hudson in Marlboro, NY. Celebrating its ninth year, Mazzstock gets underway Friday August 26 and runs through Sunday August 28.
Zach Deputy headlines Friday night while Spiritual Rez takes center stage Saturday night. Sunday finishes with Gratefully Yours. The fest also features performances from several New York-grown artists such as the Big Takeover, SkyDaddy, Talking Machine, Teddy Midnight and Space Carnival.
Located halfway between New York City and Woodstock, Marlboro is quickly becoming home to a vibrant music scene. Thursday night, the popular local venue The Falcon hosts Primate Fiasco to kick off the weekend for a pre-Mazzstock party. No tickets are required for the event but donations are requested.
Mazzstock is a family friendly event that features the full festival experience, including late night jam sessions, yoga and local food and craft vendors. Three day tickets are available for $70, which includes camping. Single day passes are also available. See the Mazzstock website for details.
