Just a few weeks after the announcement of the addition of Phil Lesh & Friends to the 2016 LOCKN’ festival lineup some exciting news had been announced about the former Grateful Dead bassist’s sets.
The four day festival, running Aug. 25 to Aug. 28 (Thursday to Sunday) in Arrington, VA features two headlining sets from Phil Lesh & Friends. On Saturday, Lesh will be joined by Phish members Jon Fishman and Page McConnell along with Joe Russo and The Infamous Stringdusters. Sunday’s set will feature Chris Robinson Brotherhood and a special guest sit-in by blues/rock guitarist Gary Clark Jr. Saturday’s set with drummers Fishman and Russo will echo the sounds of the Grateful Dead’s two-drummer setup.
Each of the guests joining Lesh are performing their own sets during LOCKN’. The packed lineup also features Ween, Twiddle, My Morning Jacket, Umphrey’s McGee and The Wailers among others. Check out the full 2016 LOCKN’ lineup here.
